How can you call out online harm?

  • If you see someone getting cyberbullied, don't just swipe past it. Speak up! Send a supportive message, report the bully, or reach out to someone you trust for help. Your voice matters.

  • Nobody has time for cyberbullies invading their space. Don't hesitate to block, mute, or unfollow anyone spreading negativity.  Your online world should be epic and filled with things that inspire you, not a place that makes you feel uncomfortable.

  • Before you hit send on that picture, comment, or meme, ask yourself: is it kind? Is it necessary? If not, push pause. Remember, we live in a world where our actions now can be used against us later.

  • If you’re faced with cyberbullying yourself, don't suffer in silence. Reach out to a trusted friend, whanau member, or even a helpline. You're not alone, and there are plenty of people who will step in to support you!
